Mr. Placeholder Jr. is the perfect placeholder for your next project! He got you covered with all the basic animations:
- Idle
- Running
- Walk
- Jump Start
- Jump End
- Hurt
- Death

This asset is distributed in different formats depending on your use case.

There are sprite strips that contain all the images in a column.

There is a sheet containing all the body parts of Mr Placeholder Jr. so you can create your own animations with him or rig him.

The Project files used with Spriter Pro. There are import plugins for some engines so you could transfer over the whole animations lossless into the engine of your choice.
For unity there are these two packages that can be used to import them:

Edit:
- Added horizontal sprite strips

As usual this asset it under CC-0 license so you may use it however you want. Attribution is highly appreciated but not required :)

how do you make this amazing work!

Great placeholder sprite! Just wondering, could you export all of the sprites as horizontal sprite sheets as well? Godot doesn't seem to be able to handle the vertical ones.

Sure thing! They're added to the files you can download

Thank you! :D

So placeholder as in you replace the body parts with your own custom ones?

More placeholder as in you use him to build a prototype of your idea, and then replace him altogether. But since I've added the Spriter files you could potentially use Spriter to replace the body parts by yourself while maintaining the animations :)

Ok. What is Spriter by the way?

It's a software by BrashMonkey. It's basically a tool with which you can animate characters. It works a bit similar to how Unitys animation tool works

Ok. Thanks!

Really useful assets!  Thanks so much!

Looks awesome as always congratulations

Thank you!

Oh! Here comes John Q. Public :3
